OUCH...

Yesterday wasn't very good for me .. Overnight the kids wanted to sleep outside in the tent, but our littlest one kept getting up, going inside, laying down, then going back outside. I was to be inside to watch her if she was going to stay in, and Victoria was outside to watch the other two. Unfortunately with all the traffic that stupidly comes down the road by our house every hour of the night, it kept her up. So I got called in to sleep outside with the kids. So, in all reality, neither of us got much sleep that night.

Then throughout the day, I was tired as all heck, and sat in my chair at my desk. Of course, lucky me, my back started going nuts, and I couldn't move for good portions of the day. Thus, nothing got done around the house. Which to me, sucks royally as I don't like not doing things around the house. So, that was my day yesterday, unable to do much, sleeping the rest.

Lately I'd talked about the FFXIV beta testing, and it was going great to a point. I mean, I enjoy doing caster classes in most MMORPGs, and this is no different. I didn't like the melee classes much due to just how 'simple' it seemed. Unfortunately in the current version of the beta test, mages' MP doesn't refresh while in passive (resting) mode. So mages either have to rely on a weak as snot ability that costs no MP, or to stay around the crystal to recover their MP that way. Main problem with that... the stuff around the crystal at the start is all low level, and to get to the higher stuff would require long walks. Partying yielded much more exp for me, but then the game crashed, and would never let me back in.

While we were waiting for the servers to come live, and even when they did come live with the timeout issues from everyone in the world trying to get in at the same time, someone in the beta-test vent said that they were having a blast with Alien Swarm. This is a FREE game that is on Steam right now. It was created by a crew of modders that Valve had hired to do. This is cool because it shows that if you do mods in your spare time, and do good work at it, Valve may put you on the books to do what you like to do already.

The game itself is pretty awesome. It's a mix of Left 4 Dead, and some other things. It is not a direct port or anything of a mod that was made for Unreal Tournament 2000, but it comes from there (sort of how team fortress classic came to steam). It is a top-down (well, more like 60 degree angle) shooter where you're walking around with up to 3 other players, trying to take out an alien infestation. There are 4 classes you can play, that of; Medic, Special Ops, Officer, and Tech. You don't necessarily need one of each, but it is nice if you do. You almost ALWAYS need a tech though to be able to hack into things to continue a level.

As you complete stages, you gain levels. But these levels aren't specifically for whichever class you chose, but overall. Which is nice, as things start unlocking for you each level for you to use, sometimes as different classes. I myself tend to be a Tech, as it's cool to be able to hack things, weld doors, and other cool things. Granted, in the last few campaign levels a medic is just as important. See, there's these face humpers, sort of like headcrabs. The main difference? They hop on your head, lay an egg that hatches very fast, and well, where the egg is laid is in your head. So you may see where this is going. Without a medic, you die, and then you have two parasites jumping around to other teammates. Thus wiping your team pretty quickly.

There are a variety of weapons, to use throughout the game, and something like 61 achievements you can do while playing. There are methods in the console to make it where you're in first person, but that is kind of counter-productive. Seeing as it was designed to be a third person shooter, being able to see 360 at all times is crucial.

The cool thing also, is that people are starting to make maps and campaigns. I've seen some that are in the planning stages and they look interesting. You should at the least, try this thing out, as it is free after all, and (at least on my steam) it's on the main shop page to download.

fail timing

So, I wrote about the fact that on the 20th (today) that I had an interview for a nice job in Maitland. Well, that's just it ... it is HAD. Yesterday around 6pm I got an e-mail and phone call that the company I was going to go interview at had filled their last position, and were canceling all the rest of the interviews.

The person that called me was genuinely sorry that it had happened, and told me to keep in contact with the person that had originally contacted me. See, I apparently was 'hired' by one company that's a staff leasing agency ... which to me isn't a bad thing at this point ... this to me means that they'll be actually trying to help me get a job. I'm not officially on the books until I get a job at wherever they have contacts at.

Either way, it sucks royally, just when I thought I'd be getting ahead in the world, things come tumbling down again .. but perhaps it won't be so bad now that at least I have someone working with me to help me back up.

Relationship wise, things have smoothed out for us, but not in the ideal way as far as some may be concerned. But to us, it's just fine. Basically what this means to us is that we're not getting a divorce, nor will we. Both of us think it's pretty stupid that the courts would more than likely make me pay some form of child support, even though she wouldn't want it. So, we're staying married, but have evolved the relationship to allow for freedom of other relationships. We've got certain stipulations of course for any future relationship that either of us get into. Basically whomever we may get involved with have to understand what is going on, and must get along with everyone.

So, I suppose this means that I'm looking for a nice girl now that would understand that we'd not be getting married in the future, understands the situation, knows that I am a gamer (would be cool if she was too ^^), and of course, the fact that there are children involved. Victoria and I have discussed of course that once I get a job and we're getting money set back, that we'd be investing in getting rid of this breaking down house, and getting a new one that'd have enough bedrooms to house 4 adults, and 3 kids. Basically either 4 or 5 bedrooms. Of course, any partners that come into play in the future, we'd like the help that could be provided to help pay for things.

Strangeness will ensue I'm sure as once I post this it will trickle down through the family. But again, I urge those that read this or relay it to family that doesn't actually read the blog, to make sure they read it themselves. And to those that aren't sure how this'll affect things with the family, everything should stay the same. As stated, we're staying married, it's just that the love isn't there anymore between us...so we'll be looking for loving partners that would understand everything.

What's going on

The other day I mentioned about getting in to the FFXIV beta testing, and I did get to play some yesterday, so I'll cover some of that below, but first, the personal life stuff... We recently got ourselves a nice large 6 person tent, so that we could go camping later. We've already planned a trip to camp wilderness over at Disney sometime in August, so we needed to get the tent of course. Now we just have to get some sleeping bags, a nice quiet fan, and some bug-stuff to keep the bugs away when we inevitably will have to get up in the middle of the night to take a child to the bathroom. The kids wanted to test it out the other day, so that's what we did... camped out in the front yard. They didn't get much sleep...not because they loved the tent, but because "the bugs are too loud" ... or "the ground is too hard" ... Oh well, that's the life of camping LOL.

So, that appointment that I had to do the re-evaluation on Tuesday wasn't even that. It was just an appointment to watch the guy fill out the paperwork to request for an active review of my paperwork and eventual seeing of someone to have them check my range of motion and other miscellaneous things officially so I can possibly get an increase in my disability %'age. The guy though did state that my disability classification may not just jump to 50, but rather it's next step up would possibly be 60% . I'm not complaining, but I do hope that I get that increase, if not more.Just talked with the 'nurse' for my normal VA doc today, and she's supposed to forward my request for review of what the neurosurgeon consultation wrote in my file ... Can't say enough about my desire to actually get some relief in pain... at this point I don't care what it is that I've got to do, I'd like to get some form of relief. Granted the doc got me some meds (Tramadol), it doesn't fully relieve the pain... it gets me a small bit of coverage, basically enough for me to get to sleep. Unfortunately the dosage that he's recommending me, which is twice daily, causes me severe dizziness, so I have to only take one a day ... but I may just start taking it the recommended dose just until I go in for my interview, as I've not been sleeping well lately.

Right, so,
FFXIV ... Bloom effect is ... CRAZY!!

Yea, I probably should have edited off part of the chat and stuff, but meh. And technically I don't think I'm supposed to post any pictures up, but again ... meh.

Right then, As evidenced with the pic above, there is a very active bloom effect that is absolutely insane at times. Other times it's not so blinding:

But you can still tell it's there.

Here's what I've discerned so far from the limited time I've gotten in beta, and some of this is in the process of being changed. No macros yet (I say yet, as they're working on putting it in soon). No class changing, mainly at least. There are 4 basic "classes" with different main functions of each... One being that of weapon using type, one of caster type, one of gatherer type, and the last of crafter type. Now, this doesn't necessarily mean if you've chosen to be a gatherer that you can't do some melee, but to do so, you have to get another weapon and equip that.

Most everything requires you to use your MP to do moves. What this means is there is no 'auto-attacking' on monsters. You have to use an ability to do anything. The bad part to this, is if your game crashes, or if you loose connection to the server, your character is doing absolutely NOTHING. And, more than likely you'll just die. I experienced this very thing unfortunately and it kind of sucked.

The other bad part currently about getting DC'd (crash, lost connection, whatever), is their quest system... or as they call it, the "leve" system, in game called "Guildleve" no, not guild leAve, or guild leveL ... just guildleve ... strange yes, but meh, to each their own. Now, there are some quests that a person in town can give out (currently there's only one town to start in, and the beta's capped to level 30 so I suppose around level 30 you'll be going to visit other towns or something I dunno) ... anyway, this person gives you some que... I mean guildleve ... that will have an objective, now you have to travel to the designated area, find the aether crystal or whatever it is (sorry, beta's down right now I think so can't go hop in to check), interact with it (I'll explain that quirk in detail in a bit), and activate the guildleve. At the time you activate it, your minimap will show a circle where your quest monsters will be spawned, or if it's off your minimap, it will show you arrows to which direction to go to. This is a good thing though, as the guildleve system is a timed quest thing, wherein you are given, say, 30 minutes to kill XX number of XXXX's. When you get to the designated spawn area, you'll possibly see some of the creature you're after, with little 'notes' next to their name. These are YOUR (and your party if you have one) creatures for the quest. Those outside of your party or not on the same quest, will not even see these creatures. This means that all you have to do is find them and kill them. Bad bit though about all of this, is that if you get DC'd, you drop the active guildleve apparently. And as it stands currently, you can't re-pick it up for 2 days time... now weather that's 2 REAL LIFE days, or 2 in game days, I'm not sure... but it sucks either way. If you log out, or get DC'd you may drop the quest without you knowing it, or it may stay active ... either way, that timer doesn't stop when you log out though, it's in real time... so if you loose connection, on that LAST mob, and only have 5 minutes left on your timer, by the time you log back in, you'll more than likely be dead, and also probably not have enough time (if you even got back in before the time was already up) to get back to the creatures to kill.

Now, the interact thing I stated earlier. Most things that require you to do something with some object in the world, you have to interact with them... now how do you know how to do this? Well, at the top of your screen is a little buff/debuff area I suppose (as the weakness effect appears in the same area), a little exclamation point pops up. Hover over it? no tooltip like some other things. Well, this means that if you open your MENU (either the Home key, or the - key on the keypad) you'll see at the top a new section to interact with whatever's in the area, be it elevator, crystal, mining point, etc.

I've not started a gatherer or crafter class yet, as from what I'm reading on the beta tester's forums, these classes need some serious working on. But, I think that some of the things I currently see as "set in stone" (like choosing your class) are not so much so, but just your chosen profession at the start. Apparently you can purchase different weapons, equip them (through some very difficult methods apparently) and then you get different skills (which you also have to swap out your old weapon/tool's abilities to be able to use) ... And of course, using these weapon types will improve as you go...I THINK ... as I've not gotten a chance to test it out ... that when you change your weapon / tool that your class changes as well, and whatever you do you gain exp on that class. Again, don't take this for truth until I get to check it out ...

There is this new thing that is in the game though, they call them "Retainers" ... no, not those awful things that go in your mouth ... These recruit-able people can do minor things to help you. One of which, is to "man" your bazaar or marketplace spot. Currently in beta the retainers don't cost us anything, but I'd suppose by their wording, they will cost something when the game goes live. You also will have to rent your space in the marketplace to have a booth going. There are many marketplaces in each town by what the forums state from the devs (but as I said, other towns are not startable areas currently). I think that also the retainers can actually assist you out in the field by fighting with you, but I've not tried the thing out yet.

As you are out fighting, you will gain TP, which, if you remember from FFXI, you use TP to do some powerful move, and they can link with other people's TP moves to be able to create some devistating combos ... well, at least that's the way it used to work in FFXI... building parties around skillchains ... ANYWAY ... in FFXIV, a new method is in the works for using that TP. Unfortunately it doesn't seem you can do it solo, but that may just be me not doing it right. But they've got it so one person in the party can enter a command into the "battle regimen", then the next person in line would do the same with one of their abilities, and then someone executes the regimen... the skills are used in the order they appear in the list, and I gather (again, as I've not gotten in a party, nor seen anything on it really) if the skills link together, some extra damage will be done, and TP will be used. I'll see if I can't get in a party and see if I can't put something together and see what happens. In solo play it seems largely useless, as no-one else is there to "follow" your move, and when I was trying to do something, it would say I couldn't do it for some reason.

Currently the UI in the game is largely movable. You can move most everything, but not some things unfortunately. Like for example, I've yet to find out how to move the action bar, if it even IS movable. I'd like to stretch the chat box across the bottom ALA FFXI, but you can't do that due to the action bar being across the bottom middle, a small bit above the bottom of the screen. Now, this action bar doesn't always appear, so if you're in passive mode (not ready to attack), the bar goes away. There are other things I've found that I can't move around, like the buff/debuff bar area, and I'm not sure about the party window (which I believe shows up in the bottom right, like FFXI, but still) for if it's movable. Unfortunately though, some things which I wish were changeable are not so. For example, the chat window's font size and type ... not changeable. It's rather large and blocky, no matter what resolution you set for the game. At least, that's the current problem, I'm not sure if they're planning on fixing that at all, but many have complained about it.

Movement...Everyone in the forums is saying that the mouse is horrible to move around with, and they're right ... Right click and drag rotates the camera ... one problem though, it 'floats' around. If you drag around, firstly, it uses the point of reference where you began your right-click drag as the 'center' of your camera movement. What this basically means, is that if you drag to the left, and stop the cursor, the camera will continue to turn while you're holding that right mouse button, until either you find that center point where you began your click, or you let go of that click. Therein lies the next problem with camera manipulation with the mouse ... when you let go, the camera doesn't immediately stop... no, it continues to move, but slows down until it finally stops. Thus creating the "floating" camera effect, which is all but annoying. Luckily you can also move the camera around with the IJKL keys like in the compact keyboard layout in FFXI. Unfortunately the arrow keys are not the same way, and also using the IJKL keys like the arrow keys could in FFXI (for navigating the menus) doesn't work either. So, if you want to move the camera with the keyboard, you're stuck with the IJKL keys for the most part for smooth movements, but then you have to use the arrow keys to navigate windows... seeing as the mouse is very hard to worry about (especially with my ATI card being one of ... well ALL ATI cards that currently have issues with the game ... it'll display great graphics, but will have hickups in framerate whenever anything enters or leaves your visual bubble.).

Let's see, anything else yet? don't think so, I think I covered most everything I've gotten the chance to either test myself, or have read about in the forums.

Random stuffs

So, if you caught one of my latest updates / tweets, you'd know that I apparently got in on the FFXIV beta testing. While I'm kind of happy, I'm also kind of sad. See, the game is beautiful, and I'd've thought that my card could handle it no problem. Unfortunately no matter what I set the settings to I get the same issue. Apparently it is a problem with the game itself having issues with some ATI cards. Guess what? I'm one of those ones with a vid card that doesn't mesh well with the game. Everything is hunky dory up until another player comes within my view 'bubble' at that time it stutters on the framerate. It'll stop for maybe 3 frames then go smooth... up until another person walks into the bubble ... doesn't matter if it's the same person walking out and then back into my view. I do hope that they fix that issue, as it is kind of hard to do some things with a choppy frame rate.

While the beta only just started this morning, I have gotten to have my hands on it for the last couple hours (was out wandering around with the family today). Things to note that are nice: Start a quest that is for killing some monsters? You get your OWN monsters on your screen to be able to kill for that quest. No-one else sees them. The graphics as I stated are very cool. ... granted that's all I've gathered so far...

Now, for the things that I'm upset with: It's no longer like FFXI ... granted that's expected... but in one regard I wish they'd have stuck with it. That of changing classes. You can not do it in FFXIV. This means you have limited character slots to try out one class, of a great deal of them. Now the beta we've got 3 character slots, but there's room for more, so I'm not sure if this means that when it goes live if you get default 3 character slots, or if they're just letting us have some extras to test things more. Next up: Combat. No more sitting and healing, heck, no more sitting whatsoever ... you are perpetually standing, unless you're dead, then you're face down or up depending on race I'd suppose. The "controls" page on the beta site has some (not so great) pictures of the keyboard with what buttons do what, but that's set in stone -.- . . . You can't attack a creature without being in "active" mode, so you either have to hit F on the keyboard to draw your weapon, or click on the active/passive button. Nice thing though, you don't have to have something targeted. Bad thing about it, you can't set / change skills when you get any while you're in "active" mode ... also you won't regenerate your HP while in that fighting stance.

You have two levels apparently that you raise up as you're going ... one of your ability as an adventurer, and one for that of your class ... I think that's how it is at least. It's rather confusing.

Other bad things include: Some chat for cut scenes / conversations over a mock linkshell scroll by so fast that you can't catch it, and you end up having to scroll back.... there are things that you can interact with as well, but the strangeness? you have to open the menu (either home key or - on the keypad) to then interact with it... you can't actually click on it or tab across it to interact with it. I can see the desire to have it this way (with 40 people crowding around something for a quest, it'd be hard to click on it) ... but you don't have the same option to speak to NPC's from what I've seen thus far. Timers: For those that used windower for FFXI, you'd have loved the timers in that... have fear though, as there still is no timer for any buff/debuff you may have on you. There are some things that I've seen that have random wear-off times ... notably: Weakness from rezzing, I've died 3 times, one time the sickness wore off in 5 minutes, while another time it took nearly 30... oh, and that's another thing ... once you die, you have to open the menu, and recall, then wait at least 30 seconds to get sent to your home point wherever it happened to be at.

Oh, a somewhat good thing I just thought of ... their update stuff uses a sharing system to help everyone update faster ... think "Torrent" if you know what that is :) . . . only bad part is that even if you quit out of the game, it still has your computer as a server sharing the update file(s), so you end up having your net going constantly. So if you're on a limited bandwidth plan, best watch out and make sure that you end the task so that you stop using bandwidth.

I'll post more about the game and stuff when I get the chance to play more ... I'm not really revealing anything directly about the game to you all, rather just sharing things that are gameplay related that are currently in play ... we all have to remember, that with these beta testings going on, ideas will be spurred forth, and changes may come down the line before it goes live.

right, anyway, PeAcE for now, catch ya'll later, and enjoy the game if you managed to get in the beta as well.

Stuffs...

So, my little bit of not updating is due to miscellaneous things happening. First and foremost, I finally did get to see the neurosurgery consultant on Tuesday. He told me that basically, other than my herniated disc, he didn't see where it would be putting a constant pinch on my siatic nerve, although he can tell that I've got siatica. He also told me "your back looks to be normal for a 32 year old" ... I almost wanted to ask him which MRI he had looked at... the one from 4 years ago, or the one from prior in the year. Anyway, he said I should talk to my normal doc about "pain therapy" in the form of injections to my back with Steroids.

Yay fun eh? So, yesterday I went and hung out with an old friend from high school, we went to try to investigate some places he thought were still around. Apparently they weren't, so we wasted a good amount of time and gas traveling to Orlando for nothing. We went back to his place and hung out for a while. While I was over there I got a call, finally someone returning for one of my many applications I'd been throwing out there.

This return call he said he'd be sending me an e-mail that day so I could send him my actual resume rather than the one that came to him through whichever site I had applied on. He was also supposed to send me a link to some online test to test my knowledge of computer / operating systems / software. Unfortunately when I got home last night about 11:30, I checked my mail only to not see it there.

This morning I had an appointment again with a VA rep, and apparently my doc scheduled it with the wrong person... he set me up to speak with the social worker there, but I thought originally it was to be able to re-evaluate for increasing my disability. Only problem was, that he doesn't do that at all, and gave me the contact info for that person. I get home, re-called and left a message for the guy that called me yesterday (Thank god for call log and caller ID). Then called up to have the re-evaluation officer contact me.

A bit later I did get contacted by the guy for the job bit, and he said he forgot about it (how you can forget to send something when you told me on the phone "I'll send it now so you'll get it in a couple minutes probably" I'm not sure). He then sent it to me and I did all the miscellaneous things for that. Of course, a little later again, the guy from the VA contacted me to set up an appointment for re-evaluation. This time I've got a proper appointment to see him on Tuesday.

So, wish me luck on the job thing, I really do want to get out and do some stuff ... and a $14/hr job doing simple tech support for college students, I can't complain.

What to do... what ... to ... do ...

So, today, originally I was planning on going over to my parent's place to work on Delden's desk that they've got reserved for him over there ... wherein I'd have to take off all the stuff that's attached to it, and also put on a new top. There were only a couple problems with this... Firstly, my back has been twitching like mad since last night. It was also raining, and being that Delden would want to help me with it, I don't think it would have been a good idea to have him out in the weather.

So instead I tried to do some things around the house. Granted this was a bit rough with my back being as it is. We (being the kids and I) got a couple loads of dishes done. We also got the trash taken out. Unfortunately we couldn't get the rest of the house clean, as there were some things that needed some paper towels to clean up ... unfortunate as the fact that we are out of paper towels currently. So, tomorrow will be going to the store time to get some for the cleanup of the messes in the house left by the puppies.

And here I now sit at my computer. An old gaming friend contacted me via XFire to say that he was planning on moving into his own place soon. Now, why should this be anything I'd really care to know? Well, normally it wouldn't be much of any care to me. Being ever-looking for a job, I then asked him if he knew of any jobs out near him that I'd be able to take up, and subsequently shack up with him for a time. He said there were a few places near him that were looking for workers...the main problem for me would be the simple fact that I'd need to learn French to be able to get a job up there. He lives in Canada, and apparently has some buddies that work at Ubisoft, and he thinks he'd be able to get me in there, but again, I'd need to know French.

Speaking of XFire, I'd noted a new advertisement on it concerning a new facebook game. Now, normally I don't like any facebook games, as most are inundated with massive amounts of advertisements. Of course, installing the adblock plugin keeps me from seeing them, which is awesome. Anyway, this game is actually pretty easy, not much to it, but it has good graphics. Granted it is still being developed, so there are some glitches here and there that they're working on. Luckily I've got some friends that work at XFire that have joined in this game as well, and I've gotten in with them and managed to have some good tracks going to make some good money.

Dinner tonight was simple enough, spaghetti with meat sauce. I also separated the mass of hamburger meat to be put in the freezer. Tomorrow's dinner? Not quite sure, but probably something with the chicken breasts we have in the freezer as well.

Now, my story, I have gotten it reviewed by Victoria, and she likes it much better for the first couple chapters. Unfortunately I need to add more description in my third chapter, so I'll be working on that after I make this post. Then I'll start on chapter 4 and see if I can't make it good on the first try. and with that, off I go.

Fun stuff?

Well, sorry haven't posted in a couple days I think ... but yesterday and today was Victoria's days off, and she actually got to keep them off. No calls asking her to come to work. So we've been spending what time we can together.

We were planning on hitting up Disney's Magic Kingdom yesterday just for the fireworks, as we've yet to be able to let the kids watch them. Unfortunately it started storming like crazy, with multiple power outages. So we didn't go. Today we were planning on doing the same, but it's started storming over here again, and looking at the forecast for the evening hours over Disney's areas, shows constant storms, some predicted strong parts. This could mean one of a few things: The prediction is wrong and it'd be clear; it could be right and we'd be getting soaked; or it could be right, and be totally horrible so much so that they'd not even do the fireworks. So we don't want to risk getting all the way down there, only to find out that they won't be doing the fireworks.

Perhaps next week when we don't have trailing edges of a hurricane wiping over the state we'll be able to do it. In the mean time, I'll continue doing what I can around the house while waiting for the appointment next week for the neurosurgeon. Here's hoping that I'll get approved for surgery if they actually think it'd do me any good ... otherwise I'll be still sitting here in pain constantly.

I've been constantly applying at (at the very least) 3 places a day for the last week or so. So far I've gotten 20 rejection replies, a few "we're doing background checks on applicants", and a good number of nothingness. The ones that I get nothingness from, I tend to call up and ask for the human resources department ... seems about 90% of the ones that haven't responded at all don't even have an HR department. While, this can be a good sign of being a small company, it also could mean that the pay would be less than what I'd be worth to other places.

I had applied to Disney a long time ago, and within a week got a rejection e-mail. I had to wait 6 months to try to re-apply within their system. Luckily this wait period coincided with their online job fair thing. I applied for the Security positions. With my military background I'm sure I'd be well qualified for the position. A day after I applied I had gotten a modified form letter response about getting the application. Now, I say modified because, my previous time the 'received' e-mail was the same obviously, but this time, it had added in (in another font mind you LOL) that they were doing background checks for this position. It had been almost a month and I didn't get any further e-mail contact. I actually went down myself to the career center like last week or so, they said they were still processing some applications, and would be contacting those that they have room for when the room is available. They also said that my application would be good for up to 6 months before I would have to re-apply if I wanted to for that same position.

So, for the good fun stuff, well, I've got my droid phone over here, and there's so much stuff you can get for free on the market thing. I've always had a thing for some RTS games... there's one on there from pocket play called pocket empires ... it's a 24/7 RTS that currently is only PvE. eventually they'll plug in PvP, but who's to know how that'll work.

I can't wait until Verizon gets the newest droid software version pushed out though ... I've seen some stuff online about the different versions that are coming down the line and want some like ... soon. Oh well, just got to wait.

Tomorrow I'll be working over at my parent's place to get my son's desk cleaned up and fixed up so we can bring it home. So, hope it's not too terribly hot in the morning, but being Florida ... I doubt that it'll be cold :)
