Yay fun eh? So, yesterday I went and hung out with an old friend from high school, we went to try to investigate some places he thought were still around. Apparently they weren't, so we wasted a good amount of time and gas traveling to Orlando for nothing. We went back to his place and hung out for a while. While I was over there I got a call, finally someone returning for one of my many applications I'd been throwing out there.
This return call he said he'd be sending me an e-mail that day so I could send him my actual resume rather than the one that came to him through whichever site I had applied on. He was also supposed to send me a link to some online test to test my knowledge of computer / operating systems / software. Unfortunately when I got home last night about 11:30, I checked my mail only to not see it there.
This morning I had an appointment again with a VA rep, and apparently my doc scheduled it with the wrong person... he set me up to speak with the social worker there, but I thought originally it was to be able to re-evaluate for increasing my disability. Only problem was, that he doesn't do that at all, and gave me the contact info for that person. I get home, re-called and left a message for the guy that called me yesterday (Thank god for call log and caller ID). Then called up to have the re-evaluation officer contact me.
A bit later I did get contacted by the guy for the job bit, and he said he forgot about it (how you can forget to send something when you told me on the phone "I'll send it now so you'll get it in a couple minutes probably" I'm not sure). He then sent it to me and I did all the miscellaneous things for that. Of course, a little later again, the guy from the VA contacted me to set up an appointment for re-evaluation. This time I've got a proper appointment to see him on Tuesday.
So, wish me luck on the job thing, I really do want to get out and do some stuff ... and a $14/hr job doing simple tech support for college students, I can't complain.
